Age UK East Riding offers a range of services for people aged 50 and over. The Good Neighbour Scheme offers a befriending service, through home visits and over the telephone, to older people who may feel isolated or who are carers.  The Internet Shopping Service has a team of volunteers who place clients shopping orders, on-line, with their chosen supermarket, for those clients who cannot get to the shops. IT Training Courses are also available in some local libraries for those clients who would like to learn how to use email and the Internet to keep in touch with their friends and family. The Information and Advice service is free of charge and provides general advice over the telephone or in person on a wide variety of subjects including care, benefits, housing and bereavement. Benefit checks and assistance with form filling and checking is also available. Please contact Age UK East Riding’s office to make an appointment. Wills Clinics with local solicitors are available by appointment on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Fridays in the month at the Beverley office. The first 30 minute appointment is free of charge. Age UK East Riding offers a range of insurance products and services designed for people in later life. Spic and Span provides cleaning in domestic properties to help older people to continue to live independently in their own homes. Call to see if we are currently in your area. The Home Services Directory is run in conjunction with Trading Standards of East Riding of Yorkshire Council. All traders are checked before being added to the directory to give peace of mind. For further information about any of Age UK East Riding’s services please telephone or call in to the office.
